I have worked with newborns, infants, and toddlers in private and professional settings for many years.  I am passionate about supporting new and expanding families during labor and delivery because I believe it is one of the best ways to help children and because I believe in the power of women's bodies and their ability to have an empowering childbirth experience.  My goal is to assist women and their partners in having the birth experience they desire by providing emotional, physical, and informational support whether it is at a hospital, birth center, or their home.  I have experience supporting women who have chosen to use medication and women who have not, and believe that every woman deserves nurturing, knowledgeable support during childbirth to help them have an empowered childbirth experience and to assist them in making informed decisions about their care.  I have a very flexible schedule which allows me to be on-call and available to meet your needs whenever necessary.  Please contact me to discuss in more detail  how a Birth Doula may help you have a shorter labor, experience less pain, and have fewer medical interventions.
