I have been working as a middle school science teacher for several years and am now working towards becoming a nurse midwife.  As a doula, I provide physical and emotional support for the mother (and partner) during labor through the use of massage, counterpressure, help with positions and continued support to help manage pain and work with contractions. If the mother has a birth plan, I am familiar with it and advocate for the type of birth that the mother desire.  My hope is for all mothers to have a positive and empowering birth experiences. 

Postpartum I will help you and your family settle into your new life by providing you with resources and helping you access any support that you may need.  I also provide photography services if you are interested in postpartum photography of you and your newborn.
