Christine has been working with families and birth since 2001. She is a certified Birth (Birthingway) and Postpartum (DONA) Doula and has studied with Pam England, author and creator of Birthing FromWithin, as a registered Birthing From Within Mentor. She has also studied and received a certificate in herbal medicine at the American School of Herbalism in Santa Cruz, Ca, and has been trained in hot rock application and hydrotherapy. She holds a Bachelor’s of Science in Communication Studies at Portland State University with a focus in family communication and conflict resolution.

Christine has a special interest in ritual of all kinds and in birth as a rite of passage. She believes that birth holds the capacity to be an empowering and transformative experience for everyone involved, no matter what the outcome is. Her goal as a doula and childbirth mentor is to validate and celebrate parent’s experiences and to help facilitate their own self discovery.
