I first became interested in the beauty of birth a couple years ago after a new friendship enlightened me with the knowledge of doulas and midwives.  The power of women and the miracle of birth has a new place in my heart and I intend to be the informed, friendly, supportive, and encouraging birth advocate pregnant women need.

One of my main influences of being a labor doula is to make a positive difference in people's lives. I want to spread love, care, empathy and empowerment for all of those involved in the birth process. I believe it is extremely important to form a strong bond as a family, especially early on. If families are given the tools and confidence to get through childbirth, they can get through anything! I also believe that being a part of the birth process is one of the most rewarding, joyful, and fun experiences I'll have in my life. I love to help when it's needed and gaining experience in birth is very important to me.  I feel that this experience is spiritual in a way where it gives meaning to my life and helps define who I am in relation to the world.  I am inspired to share the ancient feminine wisdom that has been passed on through several generations.

I will do my best to provide you with a caring, helpful, and positive outlook on birth with preparedness and confidence!  This will include helping put together a birth plan, giving physical/emotional/spiritual support, and using relaxation techniques such as massage and movement.  If needed, I can play the role of cameraman, help cook meals, or help with the laundry.  Anything to help make this new and exciting change in your life a positive and smooth transition.

Outside of doula work, I love to be active whether it's hiking, playing a friendly soccer match, or attending an invigorating yoga session.  I love spending time with my family and friends, escaping to the outdoors, and am always up for a good concert.

Congratulations on this new stage in your life and happy birthing!
