Hi!  I am seeking doula certification and am a mother of three boys.  I remember with my 1st pregnancy being sad that for me and my culture birth was such an unknown thing, filled with a lot of fear and a little excitement.  I believe God made our bodies fully able to do this.  I want to help you have a baby with peace and not fear.  Through our two prenatal visits and unlimited phone calls or texts, we will work through questions, talk about what you would like to plan for having your baby, and get to know each other.  I'll be on call at least two weeks before and after your due date.  At your birth I will be a calm presence that will help with comfort, relaxing positions, counter pressure, massage, and anything that comes up.  I'll be there for immediate postpartum care and also at your home 3-5 days after.  I'll check on you, your baby, how nursing is going and do at least a load of dishes.  Thanks for giving me an opportunity to be apart of your birth experience.
