I am on my way towards becoming a midwife, my goal is to attend Birthingway this coming year, 2012. As of now I am a trained doula in the process of becoming certified.

I have always had a deep respect for the natural cycle of life. I think birth should be looked at as a empowering, wonderful, and fulfilling experience in a woman’s life, and not something to be afraid of.

I have always felt that my calling is to assist people through what can be difficult life transitions; I have been living out this calling over the past four years as a caregiver for disabled and elderly. I do this by showing respect, by hearing and acknowledging requests and supporting in every way I am able.

I believe every woman deserves to have an empowering and fulfilling birth experience. I know that all women have amazing strength in them, and my desire is to help women realize how strong they truly are, and to make sure every baby enters the world in the most peaceful, loving way possible.

My doula package includes two prenatals, I will be on call for two weeks before the due date until the birth, and at least one postpartum.
