Library

Welcome to the Birthingway library!

About the Library:

Birthingway College of Midwifery's library may be the largest midwifery-specific library in North America. That's what we've been told. The library houses well over 5000 items related to midwifery, birth, and many associated subjects. The library supports Birthingway's educational programs, midwifery-related health care providers, and the community-at-large.

Library Hours:

Monday: 12pm – 6pm
Tues – Thurs: 10am – 6pm

Summer Hours are: Tuesday - Thursday : 10-6

(Call ahead in case of vacations or unannounced closures)

We can be reached by calling 503-760-3131. If you are traveling to visit us, please do call ahead - sometimes our hours change. Birthingway library is a one-person-run-library, so if the librarian's sick or on vacation, the library may be closed. You can reach the library by email by writing to library(at)birthingway(dot)edu.
